Dispute Update 21 Sept 2007Talks bring some movement but still no guarantees on redundancies.A series of talks with the council have led to some progress, however there are still serious concerns about processes where compulsory redundancies can be avoided. While communication and consultation has improved, UNISON has serious concerns about how the council intends to avoid compulsory redundancies through redeployment and voluntary measures. A detailed bulletin on the talks so far is being prepared and will go out to members in the next few days.
