Our branch has nominated Paul Holmes for General Secretary because he:
• Has the experience and been elected to our National Executive seven times
• Has a track record of defending members and winning disputes in his council
• Knows what it’s like on the shop floor as a rank and file member
• Will stay on his current salary, donating the other £100,000 to union welfare funds
• Will strengthen democracy in the union and return 50% subs to branches
• Will campaign nationally for £15 hourly minimum wage
• Will campaign for a Green Agenda within UNISON
