Fair Work for Social Care: Rally Outside the Scottish Parliament!

We’re reaching out to invite you to join us for a pivotal moment in our fight for fair work practices for carers in Scotland. On April 25th at 11am, we’ll be gathering outside the Scottish Parliament for a joint trade union rally.

Why is this rally so important? In November 2023, the Scottish Government’s Emergency Budget Review made a decision that deeply impacted our efforts towards fair work. They slashed £38 million from the budget earmarked for improvements to care worker’s terms and conditions, including essential provisions like sick pay.

This decision cannot go unchallenged. Care workers play a vital role in our society, providing essential support to those who need it most. Yet, they continue to face unfair treatment and insufficient compensation.

Together, we have the power to make a difference. By coming together and raising our voices, we can urge MSPs to reinstate the missing millions and prioritise fair compensation for our care workers.

We need your support to make this rally a success. Your presence will send a powerful message to decision-makers that fair work is not negotiable.
