The branch recently sent out details for this year’s AGM which would continue giving online access by having hybrid meetings.
Branches have now been advised by the national organisation that we cannot do this, as it was only permissible during the COVID -19 pandemic unless specifically allowed in the branch rules.
We will continue with the dates for the AGM, but unfortunately there will be no online option.
I am aware that this will be disappointing for some, but we will be looking to change our rules to enable us to hold hybrid/online meetings at future AGMs.
Public services continue to face ongoing budget reductions with a continuing negative impact on jobs across local government and the community and voluntary sector.
Please make every effort to attend one of the meetings.
