It was great to see so many trade unions supporting our RMT comrades. UNISON, PCS, Unite, Aslef and Living Rent joined the picket line as well as several members of the LGBT+ community. Speaking to an RMT Official, Ian offered UNISON’s full support in their battle for better pay, conditions and a no compulsory redundancy agreement. In response RMT said local authority trade unions will have RMTs full support when our ballot supports industrial action”.
