Wednesday, 20 November, is Transgender Day of Remembrance Day.
Transgender Day of Remembrance is a day to remember and honour trans people who have died due to transphobia.
Trans Pride Scotland and the Scottish Trades Union Council (STUC) will both be hosting on-line vigils at 7:30 PM & and 6PM, respectively.
Tickets are free from Trans Pride Scot Facebook and Instagram & STUC from Eventbrite.
Edinburgh University will be hosting a vigil 6–7 PM at Bristo Square.
The vigils are community events that honours the lives of trans people who have been lost to transphobia. They are open to all. People attending in person are encouraged to bring sign and flags. The Bristo Square event will feature speakers and a queer photographer.
Attendees at all events are asked to be respectful of the on-line and in-person spaces
