UNISON City of Edinburgh branch had an active role in researching the effects that menopause and perimenopause has on women and transgender workers prior to making a positive contribution towards the councils Menopause policy. Now the cross-party House of Commons Women and Equalities Committee are calling on the government to amend the Equality Act 2010, so that menopause is treated like pregnancy and maternity.
