On the 14th June 2017, a high-rise fire broke out in the 24-storey Grenfell Tower block of flats in North Kensington, West London. 74 people lost their lives and more than 70 were injured, 223 managed to escape the inferno.
On the 14th June 2023, Edinburgh Trade Union Council will hold the 6th anniversary Grenfell Tower Memorial at the Mound Precinct, 5:30-6-30pm. We will hear from two speakers, music from Protest in Harmony choir and conclude with a silent 30-minute vigil, holding placards with pictures of the 74 people that died.
